Join us for Ministers Retreat 2026 to gather with fellow pastors, spouses, ministry leaders from all across Potomac Ministry Network to step away from your routine and enjoy a time of encouragement, community, and refreshing!
Held Monday-Wednesday, September 28th-30th at the beautiful Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa Short Pump in Richmond, VA, this year’s event includes an amazing lineup of speakers, worship, and sessions – all centered on Psalm 126: one story…walked together. MEET THE SPEAKERS

Drew Worsham
Drew Worsham is a pastor, disciple-maker, husband, father, and world-renown illusionist, speaker, and storyteller. Drew has spent the last 20+ years traveling, preaching and performing. He loves to use the art of magic to captivate audiences and help spark childlike wonder in theme, and use his gifts to be able to share the story of Jesus.
He spent 10 years helping to plant churches in and around Washington state, leading teams and college students and creating a summer leadership project for undergraduates. He served for 2 years as a college pastor in San Antonio, speaking weekly to 18-24 year olds and developing leaders and house churches, followed by 4 years as the lead pastor and church planter at The Rim Church.
Drew is based in San Antonio with his wife, Jane, and two kids, Tilly and Linden. When he’s not on the road, he loves crossfit, experimenting with new recipes, and exploring the city with his family, in search of the perfect donut and breakfast taco.

Mark Batterson
Mark Batterson serves as the Lead Visionary of National Community Church (NCC) in Washington, DC. NCC also owns and operates Ebenezers Coffeehouse, The Miracle Theatre, the DC Dream Center, the Capital Turnaround, and Culture House as gathering places for the community and funding for Kingdom causes. Mark also serves as Lead Visionary for The Dream Collective, which equips and supports dreamers who long for revival in the church, reformation in the kingdom, and renaissance in culture.
Mark holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University and is the author of 27 books including the New York Times bestselling The Circle Maker as well as In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, Wild Goose Chase, Double Blessing, Whisper, and, most recently, Gradually Then Suddenly and The Best Worst Day Ever, a children’s book he wrote with his daughter, Summer. Mark is married to Lora and they live on Capitol Hill. They have three children: Parker, Summer (married to Austin), and Josiah.

Melissa J Alfaro
Dr. Melissa Alfaro serves as the National Director of the Assemblies of God Network of Women Ministers—a professional organization mobilizing women to fulfill their ministry call.
Melissa and her husband of 20 years are Senior Pastors of The Tabernacle (known as Tab Church) in Houston, Texas. She is an ordained minister with the Texas Louisiana Hispanic District of the Assemblies of God. She is an Executive Presbyter representing ordained female ministers for the Assemblies of God. Prior to that, she served as the Ordained Under-40 Executive Presbyter (2017-2023). She is a preacher, educator, writer, and blogger and has had the privilege of collaborating with Influence Magazine and My Healthy Church.
Melissa received a Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Texas Woman’s University and holds a M.A. in English from Texas Woman’s University, in addition to a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Southwestern A/G University. Her greatest assignment and delight is being “mommy” to her beautiful children, J. David III, and Jalissa Jael.
