ABOUT

ABOUT THE POTOMAC MINISTRY NETWORK

Fulfilling the Great Commission Together.

The Potomac Ministry Network (PMN) of the Assemblies of God was organized in August 1917. Currently, the PMN is a fellowship of 350+ churches with more than 1,050 ministers, serving Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and the greater Washington D.C. region.

In the Assemblies of God, our mission is to evangelize the lost, worship God, disciple believers, and show compassion to others. We are anchored by our commitment in actively engaging with the Bible, living a life empowered by the Spirit, and sharing the gospel through missions—both nationally and internationally.

What is the Assemblies of God?

The Assemblies of God was established in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with 300 attendees at the inaugural convention. Today, there are nearly 13,000 churches in the U.S., with almost 3 million members and adherents. Globally, the denomination boasts over 86 million adherents, making the Assemblies of God the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world.

The national office for the U.S. Assemblies of God is located at 1445 N. Boonville Avenue, Springfield, Missouri. This facility serves as the headquarters for the Fellowship's executive and administrative offices, as well as various service divisions and departments, including a warehouse.

Serving Locally & Globally

Districts in the Assemblies of God are geographical or language-based regions that oversee ministry activities and provide fellowship for ministers and constituents. They often follow state boundaries but can also be defined by specific language groups. The districts work under the national General Council.

In the Potomac Ministry Network (The Potomac District), we have local and global impact by serving six unique regions through a wide variety of ministries, events, and resources. Click below to explore more!
