Intercultural Ministries Sunday

Why not designate a special service or Sunday at your church to recognize and celebrate what God is doing among the hundreds of nations that are coming to the USA?

What is an “Intercultural Ministries Sunday?” On this day we recognize and celebrate what God is doing among the hundreds of nations and languages that are coming to the USA. Hopefully we already have internationals in our churches. And, in some settings, our churches are hosting international congregations in our buildings, or we may see a neighboring church is hosting a church from another country or language group. As well, our children may have classmates from other countries. If we don’t have internationals in our congregation already, we probably will within the next five to ten years. Let’s welcome them in the Name of Jesus!

See You At The Pole (SYATP)

See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions gather to pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

See You at the Pole™ is student-initiated, student-organized, and student led prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God.

Consider organizing a gathering for your local school and contact Potomac Youth, Potomac Kids or Potomac Youth Alive for creative ideas on how to make this year’s event memorable!

Chi Alpha Day

Each year on the last Sunday in September the Assemblies of God honors Chi Alpha by taking a moment to celebrate the work of our mission in AG churches across America.

It’s a special day where we ask people to pray that our Chi Alpha missionaries are fruitful in reconciling students to Christ on the university campus during the fall kickoff season. We are proud of our over 1400 Chi Alpha affiliates who take the time to engage the lost with the gospel message as they say yes to Jesus in serving over 290 colleges and universities across the continent.
