GIRLS MINISTRIES

Girls Ministries

Girls Ministries is a church-based discipleship program that has a legacy of godly women coming alongside girls, guiding them on a path to becoming mature and godly women. Our goal is simple: To see every girl moving toward a deep relationship with Jesus Christ and to realize her importance and potential in the kingdom of God.

Girls Ministries is the premier program for preschool through high school girls in the world. No other ministry to girls program has our variety of activities, focused discipleship track, or a 65-year proven track record of helping girls become godly women.

CHARTERING & FORMS

Chartered churches enjoy discounts and perks at events hosted by Potomac Girls Ministries. Only girls and leaders at chartered churches receive recognition for their accomplishments (e.g., honor/graduation certificates) at the district level and may participate in the PGM-sponsored celebrations. All Girls Ministries leaders at chartered church are also invited to The Sorority, an online network that provides community and professional development. The chartering year begins Sept. 1.

Quarterly Reports are to sent from local churches to the Potomac Girls Ministries office to provide information about discipleship milestones, missions giving, and ministry wins. Churches also send tithe to the office on a quarterly basis.

ANNUAL EVENTS

Girls Summit

Girls Summit is a 3-day retreat for Potomac girls and their leaders to rally in worship, celebration, and missions. Who’s invited? All girls K–12th grade at Potomac Ministry Network and chartered churches and their leaders.

The 2027 Girls Summit will be June 4-6 at Potomac Park Retreat and Conference Center in Falling Waters, WV.

Leaders Summit

A day of worship, the Word, workshops, & prizes for those raising up the next generation of godly women. Workshops for both new volunteers and seasoned leaders.

The 2027 Leaders Summit will be late July/early August.

Coins for Kids is the Girls Ministries arm of BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge) and was developed to give girls the opportunity to further develop a heart of compassion through an emphasis on missions. As girls pray for missionaries and as they give money to support projects around the world, our desire is that these same girls will feel the call to go!

In 2025, Potomac Girls Ministries gave $22,687.07 through Coins for Kids to partner with Convoy of Hope’s Girls Empowerment. The Coins for Kids project this year is with Convoy of Hope’s Girls’ Empowerment program. We have a goal of helping girls discover their value, dignity, and strength in Jesus. Girls will receive the support they need to overcome challenges and gain skills/abilities to be successful.

$25 empowers a girl to receive education and training for an entire year! Weekly sessions develop key skills and provide mentorship around physical health, nutrition, hygiene, emotional health, gender-based violence, harmful cultural practices, leadership and decision-making skills, and other relevant topics that will protect them as they move into adulthood.

2026 Goal: $40,000 = empowering 1,600 girls through Convoy of Hope
