Every child deserves a FAMILY.
"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress…” - James 1:17
POTOMAC FOSTER CARE NETWORK
Every church can do something.
Every child deserves a family, but statistics tell a different story. There are over 400,000 children in foster care, and 20,000 “age out” every year without ever experiencing permanency of a family. There are approximately 15,000 foster children living in the Potomac Ministry Network, and we are on a mission to equip and empower churches and individuals to get involved.
4 Ways Your Church Can Get Involved
#1: Speak Up
Let’s pray for, preach about, teach on, and advocate for children and families in foster care and for our government and agency partners.
#2: Donate
Your church can donate physical items to support foster care families, like - bunk beds, clothing, and meals.
#3: Support
Your church can provide support services by coming alongside foster families. You can provide babysitting, transportation, meals, respite, or training.
#4: Open Your Heart
Prayerfully consider being a foster or adoptive parent. The Church can provide the sustainable support that children and families need.
