FAQS

Questions:

1)   How may I contact our Assemblies of God World Missionaries?
2)   How may we receive updated Missionary certificates?
3)   How may I request additional prayer cards?
4)   How may our church receive World Ministries credit?

Answers:

1)   How may I contact our Assemblies of God World Missionaries?

Below are several ways for your church to contact your Assemblies of God missionaries:

 Prayer Net:

If the church has not already done so, please have the church email Betty Todd at btodd@ag.org at the A/G World Missions Department in Springfield, MO and request to receive the Prayer Net.  AGWM will then reply to that email with an electronic form that the church will need to fill out and send back to Betty Todd via email-----and then once the completed form is received, AGWM will email the church the most recent Prayer Net.  After that, the church will automatically be on future email lists to receive the Prayer Net.

If the church needs this info immediately due to their upcoming missions convention, etc. and intends on getting this form, filling it out, and returning it the same day---hoping to get the most recent Prayer Net emailed to them ASAP, please make sure the church mentions this in their email (that they are hoping to get this emailed to them ASAP, as their convention is this week, etc).

EMAIL:

The church may also want to try making contact with the missionaries directly, and asking them for specific prayer requests and needs.  The email addresses found at www.agmd.org are SAFE to use.

CORRESPONDENCE REPORT:

A Correspondence Report can be faxed to the church which may be able to provide some telephone numbers for their missionaries.  All of the phone numbers that will appear on this Correspondence Report are considered SAFE to use.

2)   How may we receive updated Missionary certificates?

All missions certificates for officially recognized World and U.S. Ministries/Missionaries are printed and prepared at the Assemblies of God headquarters offices in Springfield, Missouri  (Address:  1445 North Boonville Avenue, Springfield, MO  65802-1894; Phone:  417-862-2781).  The certificates are then mailed to the District office for the appropriate department director’s signature before being forwarded on to the church.

To order new or updated missions certificates for your church, please see information below.  NOTE:  In each case, you must supply your church’s official name and account number to insure that the correct certificates are printed for your church.

WORLD MISSIONS  (formerly called “Foreign” Missions):

For officially recognized A/G World Missionaries only, please contact Carmen Lovelace at clovelace@ag.org  or 417-862-2781 ext 2072.

(Your Potomac District World Missions Director is Rev. D. Wendel Cover.)

U.S. MISSIONS  (formerly called “Home” Missions):

For officially recognized A/G U.S. Missionaries only, please contact Shirley Harwood at SHarwood@ag.org  or 417-862-2781 ext 3264.

(Your Potomac District U.S. Missions Director is Rev. Rob Seagears.)

Important Note:  Sometimes there are missionaries and/or ministries that a church supports that are only recognized on a district level or local church level.  In those cases, A/G headquarters in Springfield will not be able to supply the church with any type of certificate.  If the ministry your church supports is a district sponsored one and you would like a certificate, you will need to contact the Home Missions Department of the Potomac District office at 703-753-0300.

Thank you for your support of Missions!

3)   How may I request additional prayer cards?

Many missionaries have baseball card size prayer cards with their pictures and missions assignment information on them.  These cards are an excellent hand-out during the time set aside for the church’s annual missions emphasis and a great way for your congregation to remember the missionaries in prayer.  In addition to their prayers, many children collect these cards and use them to keep in touch with the missionaries.

Prayer Cards for Assemblies of God missionaries are available directly from the missionary.  You will find your officially recognized AG missionaries and their safe email addresses at www.agmd.org.  You may also contact the AGWM office in Springfield, MO by emailing worldmissions@ag.org.

4)   How may our church receive World Ministries credit?

If you or your church directly supports an officially recognized Assemblies of God U.S. Missions/Ministries project and would like to receive World Ministries credit on General Council’s report, please have the ministry you support send a letter including the information about the contribution (church name, city, state, the date of the contribution and the amount of the contribution) to the Potomac District Office, P. O. Box 690, Gainesville, VA  20156.  Send the letter to the attention of Barbara Ours

World Ministries credit for a calendar year must be in the District Office by January 5 of the following year.
