Potomac District Council Assemblies of God

NCD

Our experienced Potomac District team has been conducting NCD Surveys since 1999. The NCD Survey is a wonderful tool that helps you get a clearer picture of the health of your church. It also helps you determine where to focus your energies for improvement. The following information covers basic information about the NDC Survey.

What is the NCD Survey? The NCD Survey measures the health of a local church. Based on the research of the Institute for Natural Church Development in 26,000 churches, it helps a church identify areas of strength and weakness. On the basis of this, a growth plan is developed that focuses on the "minimum factor" or weakest area of church health.

How does the NCD Survey Work? 30 members (plus the pastor) fill in the survey questionnaire. The results are analyzed through use of a computer model that compares the answers of the local church to the 103 million answers that have been gathered so far. The resulting church profile reports the quality or health of the church in the following eight key areas of ministry:

  1. Empowering Leadership
  2. Gift-oriented Ministry
  3. Passionate Spirituality
  4. Functional Structures
  5. Inspiring Worship Service
  6. Holistic Small Groups
  7. Need-oriented Evangelism
  8. Loving Relationships

Who can do the NCD Survey? Any church that wishes to analyze its present situation in order to work on its health can use the survey. The survey works in churches of all sizes, cultures and spiritual traditions.

How much does the NCD Survey cost? Cost of the basic church profile with an additional custom profile analysis is $175. This fee covers all materials, processing fees and analysis. Materials will be mailed to you with instructions. Phone support is also included.

Can you come to my church to explain and conduct the survey? Yes, we would be happy to come to your church and conduct the survey in person. When doing the survey onsite, we come prepared with an NCD PowerPoint presentation, and answer questions that arise before, during and after the survey. Call and we can discuss your situation and the best strategy for you.
