The Potomac District Honorbound is sponsoring a wonderful opportunity for a mission’s trip to Honduras. There has been revival moving through Honduras with people being saved and touched by God. With the Wind of the Spirit, is the need to build church buildings for the people who have been touched. In fact, Honduras 100, is a thrust by missionaries Larry & Sherry Walker to build 100 new church buildings over the next four years. We want to help.
We are asking for two things. First, is for funds to be able to purchase two church buildings at $10,000 each. Second, is for men who are willing to go and work with us to build a church for the glory and honor of God. Your church will receive world missions credit for any monies given toward the project.
This trip is set for July 5-13. We are scheduled to leave from Dulles airport early Saturday morning (July 5th ) and return Sunday evening (July 13). There are no available flights for Saturday. We have reservations for eighteen men. The cost per man will be $1350.00 (this includes travel, lodging, food, and insurance). We have the honor of being asked by Veteran Missionary Larry Walker to go into two towns that are desperate for buildings of their own. This will be a life-changing trip that will impact our lives for many years and perhaps even forever.
I am asking God to give us seventeen men with a heart for missions to go with me. We will build two churches in about five days. A $100 deposit will be required by Feb 29th to hold your spot. You will need to secure an up-to-date passport that is good through 2008 and please do not delay if you don’t have one.
